- New: a side-by-side comparison of Character.AI alternatives (age rules, age checks, teen limits, sexual content, training on chats, parental controls and account deletion, from each company's own pages), with a CSV download. New guides: ChatGPT adult mode, the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA), the Colorado AI Act, and whether Kindroid and Joyland AI are safe. The Character.AI age verification guide was re-checked against Character.AI's pages.
- Character.AI bankruptcy: Law360 reported that the judge approved the bidding procedures at the October 30 hearing; the written order is not yet on the docket. The guide to whether Character.AI is shutting down now lists the revised sale schedule (bids due November 20, auction November 23, sale hearing November 24, sale objections due November 13) and cites the states' and U.S. Trustee's objections directly.
- State pages now list the multistate actions each attorney general joined, the state's general consumer protection law and comprehensive privacy law where it has one, its 2027 legislative session date, and chatbot bills that were introduced but stalled. Pages for states without a chatbot law are now open to search engines.
- Added a 2027 chatbot bills tracker: bills filed for 2027, bills still pending from 2026, and when legislatures convene.
- Federal page: noted the FTC investigation of AI companies that the Associated Press reported on September 30, 2026.
- Added Texas v. OpenAI, the Texas attorney general's October 23, 2026 suit over ChatGPT, and updated the ChatGPT guides to ten state suits.
- Added guides on whether Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek and Snapchat's My AI are safe, whether Character.AI is safe for kids, DeepSeek bans by state, and how to delete Replika, Talkie and Janitor AI accounts.

- Character.AI bankruptcy: added a reported October 23 objection by a group of states to the proposed sale procedures. The October 30 hearing on those procedures is unchanged as far as we found.
- Home page: Plate I, the painted chart of each state's chatbot-law duties, is back under the map as a square grid rather than a map shape. It is redrawn from the records on every update.
- Home page: the Plate I artwork is replaced by a guide to what the laws require, with each duty, the states that impose it and a link to that view of the map. Share images now show the state map, and the press page offers the map as a downloadable image.

- Government action pages now name companies as defendants or recipients rather than as parties that must comply, quote agencies' press-release headlines only with attribution, and carry an allegations notice. Share images and embeds follow the same rules.
