Terms of use
Effective October 21, 2026. These terms apply to chatbotlaws.com, published by AI Laws By State LLC ("we"). By using the site you agree to them.
Information, not legal advice
Chatbot Laws provides general information about laws, bills and government actions. It is not legal advice, and using the site, its chat or its checker does not create a lawyer-client relationship. We are not a law firm. Whether a law applies to you depends on facts and on the official text; consult a lawyer licensed in your state for advice about your situation.
Accuracy
We check records against official sources and show the date each was last verified, but laws change and errors happen. Rely on the official text linked from each record. If you find an error, tell us at contact@chatbotlaws.com.
No warranties
The site, data, chat, checker and embeds are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, AI Laws By State LLC and its members are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from use of or reliance on the site, its data or its embeds. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us to use the site, which is zero.
Using the data
The records and downloads on the data page are licensed under CC BY 4.0: you may reuse them with credit to Chatbot Laws and a link to the source page. Statutes and government documents are public records. Guides, page text, design and code are copyright AI Laws By State LLC; you may quote them briefly with credit and a link.
Embeds
You may embed the maps and cards from the reporters page using the code provided, without altering the content or removing the credit line. We may change or stop an embed at any time.
Companies, trademarks and lawsuits
Names of companies, apps and products belong to their owners and are used only to identify them. Chatbot Laws is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any company named. Claims in lawsuits, investigations and letters are allegations; listing an action does not mean anyone broke the law.
Links
Links to other sites are provided for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site in a way that breaks the law, interferes with its operation or overloads it. Automated access is welcome at a reasonable rate; the downloads are the easiest way to get the full data.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do.
